Orion welcomes volunteers to enrich student learning by assisting in classrooms, supporting school events, and sharing their unique talents. To ensure a safe and positive environment across all campuses, prospective volunteers are required to complete the Redwood City School District registration process before serving on campus. Thank you for your interest in volunteering, and we look forward to seeing you on campus!
In order to volunteer in the Redwood City School District, the following are required:
All Volunteers:

Volunteer Application

Copy of Driver’s License or other government issued ID

Current TB test (within 6 months) or completed Risk Assessment Form, signed by a doctor
Only required for Level 2 volunteers:

Live Scan Fingerprinting

Mandated Reporter Training
* Level 2 volunteers may supervise students outside the presence of a certified school employee – for example, driving on a field trip, chaperoning on a field trip, or working with a student on campus without being in eyesight of the teacher.
